Hemofilia: hemostasia e exercí­cio

Resumo

A hemofilia é uma desordem no mecanismo de coagulação do sangue, que pode resultar em incontroláveis hemorragias. Trata-se de uma deficiência genético-hereditária, quase exclusiva do gênero masculino, com ocorrência de um caso em cada dez mil habitantes. Ainda que divergindo sobre os fatores positivos e negativos da atividade física sobre os mecanismos de agregação plaquetária, coagulação e fibrinólise, todos os autores pesquisados foram unânimes em afirmar que o balanço entre prós e contras é positivo. Concordam ainda em afirmar que mais estudos seriam necessários para retirar conclusões mais contundentes. Espelhando esses resultados as condições especificas dos hemofílicos é possível que essa população se beneficie futuramente com os frutos dessas pesquisas, tanto na parte músculo articular como também na parte de coagulação e controle dos sangramentos. Uma vez comprovado que o exercício pode de alguma forma estimular o fator VIII, o exercício pode se transformar em uma importante ferramenta para o manejo da doença. Fato é que a totalidade dos poucos estudos demonstraram uma deficiência no fator força, mobilidade e propriocepção dessa população.
