A utilização da reabilitação e exercí­cios terapêuticos na sí­ndrome da dor femoropatelar - Uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

Introdução: A síndrome da dor femoropatelar (SDFP) é uma fonte rotineira de dor anterior do joelho, sua etiologia ainda não é clara, com surgimento insidioso, não traumático e normalmente sendo agravada por movimentos que provocam sobrecarga articular. Dores e limitações funcionais são as principais queixas dos pacientes. Objetivo: Conduzir uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre a utilização da reabilitação e exercícios terapêuticos na SDFP. Metodologia: A revisão sistemática foi composta por ensaiosclínicos randomizados controlados publicados entre 2001 e 2011 utilizando consulta da base eletrônica de dados Medline, PubMed, Scielo e Bireme com a combinação dos descritores “Patellofemoral pain syndrome” and rehabilitation e “Patellofemoral pain syndrome” and exercise. A qualidade metodológica dos ensaios foi graduada por meio da escala PEDro. Resultados: Trinta e cinco estudos preencheram os critérios de seleção com diferentes propostas de tratamento conservador. Conclusão: A utilização da fisioterapia convencional associada ao fortalecimento do quadril demonstrou resultados mais consistentes para diminuição da dor e melhora da capacidade funcional. Embora outros resultados positivos foram encontrados em menor proporção com uso da fisioterapia convencional e taping, de forma isolada ou combinada.
