Estratégia e ritmo de prova em eventos atléticos: diferença entre os termos, mecanismos de regulação e os seus fatores determinantes e influenciadores

Resumo

Nos últimos 20 anos, diversos estudos têm focado em exercí­cios que simulam cenários reais de competição, tais como os testes contrarrelógio. Nesse tipo de exercí­cio, os atletas podem conscientemente determinar a sua estratégia antes da prova ou ajustar, conscientemente ou subconscientemente, o seu ritmo de prova dependendo de alguns fatores. Por isso, sendo considerado um "hot topic" das ciências do esporte atualmente, o propósito dessa revisão é abordar os principais mecanismos de regulação e fatores determinantes e influenciadores da estratégia e ritmo de prova, respectivamente, além de esclarecer as dúvidas sobre os termos 'estratégia de prova' e 'ritmo de prova', que tem sido empregado frequentemente como sinônimos.
