Physiological responses and analysis of the physical profile of the taekwondo fight: a systematic review
Abstract
The taekwondo (TKD) Olympic happens in a fight of three rounds of two minutes, occurring interval of one minute. The objective of the systematic review was of determine the physiological responses and physical profile of the TKD fight. This study followed the methodology proposed by the PRISMA. The databases used were Google Scholar, PubMed, Medline and CAPES journals. Only 16 articles were included. The fight of the male and female TKD is aerobic (in the tactical action and pause) and anaerobic (in attack, defense and counter attack). The heart rate and the lactate of the TKD fight male and female corresponded to those aerobic and anaerobic efforts. In TKD fight occurred more kicks than punches, the kick that caused more point was the semicircular. In conclusion, this study becomes a reference to assist the coaches in prescribing of the training.
