Behavior of the cardiovascular variable in the aerobic exercise in horizontal and vertical cicloergometer
Abstract
Purpose: To compare the performance of the variable systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), heart rate (HR) and double product (DP) during aerobic exercise cycloergometer in the horizontal (CH) and vertical cycloergometer (CV). Methods and Materials: The sample involved 10 men physically active in aerobic exercises in cicloergometer, which held in each of the two apparatus a session, the first test was conducted at CH and then on CV, for a period of 30 minutes, the load of 5 and watts frequency of pedaled of 60 to 80 RPM (rotation per minute) for the completion of the second test was given an interval of 7 days, and each volunteer took the tests in the same time of the previous test, and the data of variables were collected for each 3 minutes during the exercises, but was considered to analyze the results of 9, 21 and 30 minutes. All variables collected were presented on the descriptive statistics. Results: Significant differences were found among cicloergometer, where the variables studied highest average values obtained in the vertical cycloergometer, exert PAD in the 9 and 30 minutes. Conclusion: According to the results obtained can say that the cycloergometer vertical generates a more significant stress on the cardiovascular system than the cycloergometer horizontally, and thus should be considered in the prescription of aerobic exercises in situations that the individual need of care special in relation to the cardiovascular system during the exercises.
